    DEPARTMENT OF ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS

    The NCEA Department of Elementary Schools currently serves 1,906,870 elementary/middle school students in 6,785 schools.

     

     

    Mission
    In order to achieve this vision, our mission to our members is to:

     

     Enhance the Catholic identity of Catholic school communities,

       

    Foster effective Catholic educational leadership,

     

                Foster effective Catholic
                 educational leadership,   
     
     

     Address current and future
     educational needs,
    and
      
     
    Enable Catholic schools to attain greater 
    human and financial support. 
         		  

      
    DATES OF NOTE
     
     
    Principal Appreciation Day:    The Thursday before Thanksgiving.  This year, November 18, 2010
     
    Catholic Schools Week:          (Starts the last Sunday of January).  This year, January 30-Feb 5, 2011.
     
    Teacher Appreciation Day:     Sometime during Catholic Schools Week.  This year (TBD).
     
    Pastor Appreciation Day:        Good Shepherd Sunday (4th Week of Easter) This year, May 15, 2011.
     
     

     


    2011 New Orleans Convention
    The Elementary Department encourages interested presenters to submit proposals for the 2011 New Orleans Convention through our online submittal form here.

    Deadline for proposal submittals is Monday, August 30, 2010.
