NCEA 2010 Convention & Expo - Added Value Exhibitors
The National Catholic Educational Association is coming back to the Land of 10,000 lakes with the 2010 NCEA Convention & Expo. This year, the NCEA, the NPCD Convocation and the CLA Convention will all be together under one roof at the Minneapolis Convention Center. Make plans to attend great Professional Development Sessions that will be informative, uplifting and cutting edge. Make time to visit our large Expo Hall that will be full of resources to assist you in your career. Do not miss this great opportunity to reconnect with your colleagues for a convention to remember.
Did you know? The name Minneapolis is attributed to the city’s first schoolmaster, who combined Minnehaha and min (the Dakota word for water) with polis (the Greek word for city).
Title II-A funds for professional development under the No Child Left Behind Act may be available to attend the NCEA Convention. These funds may be used to pay for the “secular, non-ideological” sessions that the participant attends. Funds may be used for registration as well as travel, lodging, etc. Requests must be made to the local school district office (LEA) that controls the government funding for these programs. Consult the NCEA Web site (/UserFiles/File/PublicPolicy/Revised_Title_II_Guidance__2_.pdf) for the guidance document pertaining to use of funds for private schools. Reference this document if there is resistance from the LEA.
