In August, the NCEA Elementary Schools Department announced a contest asking teachers to submit pictures of their best “back to school” bulletin boards via Twitter and Facebook. After viewing all the wonderful entries, NCEA selected the winning bulletin board, designed by Lindsay Nash, third grade teacher at St. Timothy School in Chantilly, Virginia. Beth Mertens, who is a counselor at St. Timothy School, submitted the photo of the board that celebrates the start of the new school year.
On September 17, 2012 Kathy Mears, Elementary Schools Department Executive Director, presented Miss Nash with a gift certificate from Target! Her third grade students eagerly answered questions during the presentation and shared that Miss Nash is a great teacher!
