Recognizing Excellence in Catholic Education: NCEA Announces 2024 President's Awards and Lifetime Commitment Awards

Recipients of the NCEA awards exemplify the values of our Catholic faith and will be honored on April 1 at NCEA 2024 Convention in Pittsburgh, PA.

Arlington, VA. – The National Catholic Educational Association (NCEA) is proud to announce the recipients of the highly esteemed NCEA 2024 President's Awards and the NCEA 2024 Lifetime Commitment to Catholic Education Awards. This annual recognition celebrates outstanding educators, leaders and organizations who have made extraordinary contributions to the mission of Catholic education.

"Recognizing excellence in individuals and organizations who embody the virtues of faith, support, leadership and development, these awards celebrate those who not only advance the mission of Catholic school education but also serve as beacons of inspiration, leaving an indelible mark on the landscape of Catholic education in the United States."

The President’s Awards, named for five past presidents of NCEA, are bestowed upon individuals and organizations who display the significant virtues of contribution, support, leadership and development to impact Catholic school education in the United States. The NCEA Lifetime Commitment Awards are presented to those who have devoted their lives to Catholic education to inspire and empower Catholic school communities.

The NCEA 2024 President’s Awards honorees:

Leonard F. DeFiore Parental Choice Advocate Award: Dr. Galey Colosimo
Dr. Karen M. Ristau Innovations Award: Senior Capstone Project at Chaminade Julienne Catholic High School
Msgr. John F. Meyers Award: Tim M. LaMott
C. Albert Koob Merit Award: Brother David Migliorino, OSF
Catherine T. McNamee, CSJ Award: Very Rev. Edward Chiffriller, SSJ
