The NCEA 2021 - 2022 Youth Virtues, Valor and Vision Awards Go to 17 Heroic Young People

Catholic school students from around the country are heroes in their service, innovation and commitment to social justice.

Leesburg, VA – The National Catholic Educational Association (NCEA) has announced 17 winners of the NCEA 2021 - 2022 Youth Virtues, Valor and Vision Awards. The awards go to Catholic school students changing the world through selfless service that supports their Catholic faith and the Church’s evangelizing mission.

Supplies for hurricane-ravaged Haiti, blessing bags for the homeless, letter exchanges with senior citizens, the Santa Shoebox Project, fundraisers for Cystic Fibrosis, Tang Soo Do classes, COVID vaccination help, food pantries, food deliveries and care for the marginalized are the many ways these young people are true witnesses to their faith.

"At the core of Catholic education is service to others," said NCEA President/CEO Lincoln Snyder. "Jesus himself encouraged us to feed the hungry, clothe the naked, visit the sick and perform other works of mercy as an essential part of being his followers. These students, as witnesses to their Catholic faith, are the face of Jesus at work in their communities."
