What Types of Data We Collect and How We Use It
We collect a variety of information when you visit the NCEA website, use other NCEA Tools, and engage with NCEA.
Personal Data is data that identifies you directly and includes information that is associated with you that may identify you when combined with other information from or about you (Personal Data). Depending on the type of interaction you have with NCEA, NCEA will collect your name, address, phone number(s), fax number, job title, email address, payment and billing information, subscriptions, and credit card information. We also may collect your Internet Protocol (IP) address, which is a number that lets computers attached to the internet know where to send you data, such as the pages on a website that you view. We use IP addresses to analyze trends, administer the site, track user movement, and gather broad demographic information for aggregate use. Additionally, the NCEA websites use “cookies” to improve the functionality and usability of our sites, tools, and products; this means that the browser or operating system you use may be identified, along with the date and time you have viewed certain pages. The information is used to facilitate transactions, analyze trends, administer the Tools, and send communications to members and non-members of NCEA.
