NCEA 2020 Special Events

Advocacy Day

New at NCEA 2020! Thousands of Catholic school educators will be in Baltimore for the NCEA Convention in April of 2020. As the convention is so close to Washington, DC, NCEA is offering a one time add on day to the convention for a trip to the US Capitol to advocate on behalf of Catholic schools. The United State Conference of Catholic Bishops, Secretariat of Catholic Education is sponsoring the day with no additional cost to participate.

The purpose of the day is to familiarize federal legislators with Catholic schools and their unique contributions. Attendees will meet with their US Representative and/or US Senator to discuss the positive impact of Catholic schools in their district and how federal education programs benefit students and teachers in their Catholic school. Interested participants may add the Advocacy Day through their registration record.  Once registered, USCCB will provide all training and materials. The deadline to register is January 30, 2020 and all participating individuals will be required to participate in online training prior to attending.
